HASHTAG (aka Harshendu) is an Ahmedabad based DJ. His inclination toward rock music began in school. His R&B roots are born out of listening to his sister's playlist.
The artist’s DJing journey started early, and he quickly became famous in the party circuit for his groovy sets. He’s always had a strong connection to musical instruments, ranging from piano and flute through to guitars- it was only natural for him to take the next step and explore the realms of electronic dance music. He made his DJ debut in 2007 and started setting up outdoor parties of his own. After a couple of years of developing his sound by 2016, HASHTAG gave the music scene a whirl.
HASHTAG has established himself as a solid addition to any electronic dance music lineup, you can even find him playing at an elegant wedding dance floor or a buzzing local cafe. Within a couple of years of his entry into the music scene, HASHTAG grabbed the limelight with artists such as DJ Aqeel, DJ Taral, DJ Akbar Sami, Tomfall and many more music luminaries.
HASHTAG prefers to keep his sets versatile and can be heard laying down funky and fun daytime sets or more serious, twisted and solid sound for the nighttime setting. With his passion and skill for DJing, you can expect his floor-shaking sets to take you on an enchanting musical ride.
With over 15 years under his belt, HASHTAG became famously known for mixing Bollywood, House, Deep House, Techno, EDM, Commercial Rock, Alternative Rock, Trap, Ambient, Reggae, Dubstep, R&B, Retro, Ambient, Trap and many more styles and genres.
Utilising his expertise and dancefloor know-how, he aims to work towards his goal of mixing tracks on his signature styles. Being a veteran DJ, he believes in mixing sounds to create a unique magical atmosphere to be soaked.
HASHTAG has one of the most unique and distinguished progressive sounds, combining techno influences with distinguished drum patterns and rumbling bass lines making him one of the highest-selling and most sought after progressive house acts on the scene today. His rumbling beats build up the tension on the dance floor, adding subtle yet meticulously crafted layers that are instantly recognisable the second you hear them.
HASHTAG started as a dedicated disco/soul/funk DJ in his early years and is known for his massive collection of rare and potent dance music. He has played in all major cities like Mumbai, Nasik, Goa, Udaipur, Pali, Delhi
